Four Things In Texas Education To Watch This Legislative Session

As the new legislative session ramps up, the
top three leaders in Texas seem to have their eyes on the same thing:
education.
“Nothing is more important than providing our
children the education they need for the jobs of tomorrow,” said Gov. Greg
Abbott during his victory speech on election night.
“An educated workforce is the key to the
future of Texas,” said Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, recapping his legislative agenda.
“Education remains our top priority,” said
Rep. Joe Straus, R-San Antonio, after his re-election as Speaker of the House.
